Authors who publish in Jurnal Hurriah: Jurnal Evaluasi Pendidikan dan Penelitian (Journal of Educational Evaluation and Research) agree to the following terms concerning copyright, publication rights, licensing, and the sharing of their work.

1. Copyright Ownership and Publication Rights

Authors retain copyright and other proprietary rights in their work, such as patent rights. Publication in this journal does not require the transfer of copyright ownership to the journal or its publisher.

Authors grant the journal the right of first publication and non-exclusive permission to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and preserve the article as part of the scholarly record. The work is made available under the publication license described in Section 2.

Rights retained by authors

Future use

Use of the substance of the article in the authors' own future works, including lectures and books.

Self-archiving

The right to self-archive the article, as set out in Section 4.

Further distribution

Separate non-exclusive arrangements for the published version, as set out in Section 3.

Prior sharing of a manuscript as a preprint, as permitted in Section 4, does not by itself prevent consideration for first formal publication. Authors must disclose any previous dissemination or related publication when submitting.

2. License and Conditions of Reuse

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). Readers should consult the license accompanying each article, particularly for previously published content.

The license allows users to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work, and to adapt it for non-commercial purposes, without separate permission, subject to these conditions:

Attribution

Give appropriate credit to the authors and to Jurnal Hurriah, retain applicable notices, link to the source and license, and identify changes. Credit the article's initial publication in the journal without implying endorsement by its authors or the journal.

NonCommercial

Do not use the material primarily for commercial advantage or monetary compensation. Commercial reuse requires separate permission from the copyright holders.

No additional restrictions

Do not impose legal terms or technological restrictions that prevent others from exercising the licensed permissions.

Permissions already granted under the license cannot be revoked while its conditions are met. Applicable copyright exceptions remain unaffected. The full license terms govern reuse. The journal's spirit is to disseminate published articles as freely as possible; see the Open Access Policy.

3. Additional Distribution Arrangements

Authors may enter into separate, additional arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of their published work, such as depositing it in an institutional repository or including it in a book, with acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

Such arrangements must not withdraw or restrict permissions already granted to users under the article's Creative Commons license.
Authors should inform any subsequent publisher of the article's prior publication and existing license.
Reuse in another publication must be transparently identified. Permission to redistribute an article does not justify presenting previously published work as a new, original journal article.

Authors may share their manuscripts on preprint servers, institutional repositories, or personal websites before and during submission, to facilitate scholarly discussion and access to developing research.

Stage

What authors may and should do

Before acceptance

Identify the shared document clearly as a preprint or submitted manuscript. Do not describe it as accepted or published by the journal before the editorial decision or publication.

At submission

Disclose publicly available versions and give their links or identifiers in the cover letter. Submit anonymised review files as required by the Author Guidelines. Public preprints may make author identities discoverable despite these precautions.

After acceptance

Deposit the accepted manuscript without an embargo, clearly identified as the accepted version.

After publication

Deposit and share the published version without an embargo. Include the full citation, DOI or article link, and the applicable copyright and license statements. Where possible, update earlier versions with a link to the published article.

Posting a preprint does not authorise simultaneous submission to another journal. Authors must disclose overlapping publications and follow the journal's originality and exclusive-submission requirements.

5. Author Warranties and Third-Party Material

By submitting, the author warrants that the article:

?Is original, written by the stated author(s), and has not been published before.

?Contains no unlawful statements and does not infringe the rights of others.

?Is subject to copyright vested exclusively in the author and free of third-party rights, unless disclosed to the editor before publication.

?Includes any necessary written permissions to quote from other sources.

Authors must have the authority to grant the publication rights described in this notice. All co-authors must approve publication and the applicable licensing terms. Any institutional, employment, funding, or third-party rights that affect publication must be disclosed to the editor before publication.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for copyrighted material incorporated into their work, including illustrations, photographs, tables, and substantial extracts, unless an applicable exception permits the use. Material not covered by the article's Creative Commons license must be identified in a credit line that states its source and any permissions or restrictions; users may need separate authorisation to reuse it.

Open licensing does not remove obligations concerning participant confidentiality, consent, privacy, or other rights. Authors must ensure that publication and sharing of research materials respect them.

6. Co-Authorship, Termination, and Royalties

Co-authorship

If the article was prepared jointly, the submitting author warrants that all co-authors have authorised him or her to agree to these terms on their behalf, and undertakes to inform them of the terms.

Termination

The author or the journal may terminate the agreement on two months' notice where the other party has materially breached it and failed to remedy the breach within one month of receiving written notice. No breach or violation causes the agreement or any license granted under it to terminate automatically, and licenses already granted to users are not revoked.

Royalties

The agreement entitles the author to no royalties or other fees. To the extent legally permissible, the author waives the right to collect royalties for any use of the article by the journal or its sublicensee.

Publication and editing

The journal will publish the article, or have it published, once the editorial process is successfully completed. The journal may conform the article to its style of punctuation, spelling, capitalisation, referencing, and usage. The author acknowledges that the article will be publicly accessible, free of charge to readers.
